We're not a news site, nor do we care two shakes about the news. But, every now and then, I like to catch our readers up-to-speed by taking a "news dump" on my front page.


Sony PlayStation 3 catches my eye as they plan to end Region-Protected games! Thank fucking God, Sony has been standing on the tracks of the clue train for quite some time now, I'm glad it's finally hit them. Region-protected DVDs and PS2 games ruin the fun for everyone. Especially since modding your PS2 and/or DVD-Player to play them is illegal in most regions. Thanks Sony, I might actually buy it.

Peer-2-peer takes another big hit as Grokster closes it's doors. Grokster, who has been under fire by MGM (and others) for quite some time, finally closed its doors today. This is a big win for the companies and a hard shot to the gut for the working man. Shoplifting just might start getting easier than filesharing, just kidding...Bittorrent has what you want. Bye Grokster and die as you go corporate.

A good candidate for the presidency was arrested and convicted not long ago. A man admitted to burglarizing over 100 homes in Africa is serving 7 years, nothing interesting about that. Except that he stole a fucking parrot from one house, not because it was worth any money or that he wanted a parrot, but instead because he was afraid it would narc him out. I suppose it makes sense that he doesn't have a real job.
The owner of the parrot claims it needs to be cared for and only eats white grapes. Well buddy, your parrot has been gone for weeks now, I bet it's eating other things than white grapes. Or it's not eating at all.
